Set out for the suburban stronghold of Porter Ranch for a variegated 8 mile loop through the hidden wilds and wild suburbia of the north valley including Aliso and Limekiln Canyons. Total Ascent is 1000 ft.

Two oak- and sycamore-shaded canyons--Aliso and Limekiln--and some eroded sedimentary outcroppings known as "The Palisades" are some of the highlights

We'll take our snack/lunch break at "E.T. Park" (Aliso Canyon Park, where they filmed ET)

**Beginner option is a 3 mile out and back hike in Limekiln Canyon**

Directions

The trailhead is on Rinaldi St between Corbin and Tampa Aves north of the 118 fwy. From the 118 exit Tampa Av. Turn north toward the hills and make a left on Rinaldi. Drive about 0.2 mi and park at curb. Trailhead is on the right across the street from World Vision Church.
